Happy Birthday to the legendary sports statistician Harvey Pollack a.k.a "Super Stat"! The only original employee of the NBA still working! The creator of the term "Triple Double" and many other stats we use regularly in the NBA. He was the first to keep stats for minutes played, blocked shots, offensive and defensive rebounds, steals and turnovers. Harvey is one of the few who can prove he say Wilt score 100 points on March 2, 1962 (he keep the stats). Harvey is celebrating his 86th birthday.
He is a true representative of Philly basketball .... Born in Camden .... Temple Grad ...Philadelphia Bulletin news veteran.
Harvey is also the world record holder for the # of consecutive days of wearing a different T-shirt (un-confirmed).
