Sixers hire Overton as director of player development

Sixers hire Overton as director of player development (phillyBurbs.com). Here's a great example of how Philly takes care of it own. The Sixers' organization gives former Lasalle Explorer and former Philly's Dobbins Tech star Doug Overton a front office player development job. Overton has always been a stand-up guy and has climbed the NBA ladder as far as his talent could taken him (possible farther). I like the idea of stacking the staff with local guys and former players. Nobody knows Philly like somebody from Philly. Some people from the outside just don't get what we're about. It aint all the stuff that ya read in the papers.
