KINGS: Kings Sign Tony Massenburg
Here's another journeyman ex-76er. Massenburg is joining his 12th teams in 12 years! What does that tell you about the talent in the NBA or perhaps it is a commentary on the salary cap. After the rash of pass the trash multi-team trades this summer, Teams like the Kings sign guys like Massenburg, CHEAP, just to have someone to fill out the practice squad and maybe play a game or two if someone gets hurt ... sigh ... what a long summer ....

RAPTORS: Eric Montross Annouces Retirement: " "
Here's a shocker to the Basketball world. Eric Montross subcomes to the injury that sidelined him all of last year and retires. Here is an example of how the Pro game differs from College. Montross was a good college player at NC, but was just another 7 footer in the NBA. By the time he joined the Sixers ... it was clear that his greatest skill was being 7 foot tall.

AI and USA Basketball
USA Basketball Bio: Allen Iverson
AI is doing all the right things as a player on the USA Basketball team this year. He's practicing hard, playing D, demonstrating unselfish play and given Larry Brown his props when ever he gets a chance. Some are saying that its doesn't mean anything. That sooner or later the other AI .... the Anti-AI will rise to the top. I think AI is maturing. I just hope he stays healthy so we (the Sixers) will see the benifits. Personally, I wish he had taken the summer off, lifted waits and bulked up a bit. The 2003 USA team has been assembled to make sure we make to the Olympics in 2004. That were the GOLD is.

Moved my sixers site to its new home on FreemansWeb.net. It needs to be updated for the coming season. I'll get to that in time. I am pumped up about next season though, No ... not because of Big Dog. Because we've got a crew together for season tiks this year. Sixers game are great. Even if the etams aren't doing well. There some web content coming design just for the Section 204A Crew (our section).
